100 years of memories is an anecdotal – and sometimes irreverent – look back at the story of BloomfieldCollegiateSchool since its founding in 1905.  It is essentially a scrapbook, with contributions from Old Girls and former staff, painting a picture of the life and times of the School since it first opened its doors to pupils 100 years ago.

With 72 pages in large format and lavishly illustrated with around 90 photographs in colour and black & white, it is excellent value for money at only £10 a copy.  It will provide a worthy addition to the bookshelf of all those who have known Bloomfield over the years.

There is something in the book which will strike a chord with anyone connected with Bloomfield: the teachers, the pupils, the war-time evacuation, the plays and pantomimes, the sport, the community work, the trips abroad – there are even the stories of the Prep boy who threw up on stage during the nativity play and the girls who thought they had met Santa Claus!
